My name is Kim Schimmel.
In 2016, I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where I completed the Music Teacher programme. In addition, I studied at the PABO teacher training college and completed several post-HBO programmes, including Culture Coordinator, Music with Toddlers, and Aslan.
For more than ten years, I have been teaching music with great pleasure, mainly to students aged 4 to 18. I primarily work in special education, with a very diverse group of students, including students with intellectual disabilities, autism and a range of behavioural challenges.
My greatest passion is sharing my love of music and allowing students to experience how valuable and enjoyable it is to make music together. For me, music education goes beyond making music alone: it is also about listening to one another, working together, discovering new talents and growing in self-confidence. All these aspects are reflected in the courses I teach.
Kim is teaching the Preschoolers Musical Adventures, Music Orientation and Instrument Safari courses.
