PRIVACY STATEMENT MUSIC SCHOOL DIEMEN

The Diemen Music School is managed by the Diemen Music School Foundation, located in Diemen at Ouddiemerlaan 104. Read the Privacy Statement carefully.

What type of personal data is processed by the Diemen Music School Foundation:

  1. the name, address and e-mail address and telephone number of the student and (if a minor) the parents/guardians.
  2. the date of birth (age) of the student.

the bank account number of the student, or of the person who pays the tuition fees for a student
photo and video material.

For what purposes do we use the personal data?

  1. We use the name, address and e-mail address.
    1. to register the student
    2. to be able to contact the student or parents for consultation with questions, for example about lessons, performances or payments
    3. we share the student’s name, address, email address and telephone number with the teacher who provides lessons to the student, so that he/she can contact us for consultation on matters related to lessons or performances
    4. to inform students and parents about our services and products
  2. We use the address details and date of birth of students up to and including 21 years of age to demonstrate to the municipality of Diemen that we meet the subsidy conditions.
  3. We use the date of birth of students to assess whether or not they are eligible for VAT-taxed services (above 21 years of age, VAT must be calculated on the lessons).
  4. We use the bank account number to administer payments.
  5. We use photo and video material taken during performances or activities to share them with participants and spectators and to promote the Diemen Music School. If you do not want photos or video material in which you or your child are visible to be used for promotional purposes, you can let us know. We will then remove the photo(s) or (parts of) the video material in question. The contact details of the Music School Diemen are at the bottom of this statement.
    Copyright-protected photos are also used. In that case, you can submit a request to the photographer on the basis of portrait rights not to use the photo(s) in question.
  6. We also use personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as for our tax returns or if it is otherwise necessary to provide our services.

We engage processors. How do we arrange that?

A processor is a person or organization to whom the controller has outsourced data processing. Music School Diemen processes its administrative data in software for accounting and course administration. Muziekschool Diemen has entered into a processing agreement with these processors. It contains agreements and protocols regarding the processing of personal data, accessibility of files and actions in the event of a data leak.

How long do we keep personal data?

Muziekschool Diemen stores personal data of its users for a maximum of 7 years after the last registration and in any case no longer than is necessary for the performance of the services, unless Muziekschool Diemen is obliged to store personal data for a longer period based on legal provisions.

How can you view, adjust or delete data?

Every student has the right to view, correct or delete his or her personal data. Furthermore, he or she has the right to withdraw any consent to data processing or to object to the processing of his or her personal data by Muziekschool Diemen.

A student also has the right to data portability. This means that the student can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have in a computer file to the student himself or an organization designated by him or her.

You can send these requests or communications to the contact address below. To ensure that the request for access has been made by the student, we ask that you enclose a copy of his or her ID with the request. Make the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks.

How do we protect personal data?

The Music School Diemen takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us via the contact address.

Changes to Privacy Statement
