Thanks to the festive start as part of Diemen 800, Muziekschool Diemen launched the Diemen Youth Orchestra: a string ensemble for young violinists and cellists. After this wonderful start, the orchestra will continue independently as a regular place where children can make music together, learn to play as an ensemble and, above all, enjoy making music.
The youth orchestra is intended for children aged 6 to 11 who play the violin or cello. Ensemble playing is at the heart of the orchestra: listening to each other, responding to the conductor, keeping rhythm together and experiencing what it is like to be part of an orchestra.
Under the guidance of Hebe de Champeaux, students develop their musicality, ensemble skills and self-confidence. The orchestra is therefore a valuable and, above all, enjoyable addition to individual lessons.
Rehearsals take place on Saturdays from 15:30 to 17:00 at Theater de Omval. The fee is €125 per series.
Every student is welcome to join and gain experience playing in an orchestra. You can register using the button at the bottom of this page.
